African Music Academy of Canada

Description

The African Music Academy of Canada is a federally incorporated non-profit organization based in Edmonton, Alberta. Founded by JUNO Award-winning Namibian-Canadian musician Garth Prince, the Academy provides African music education programs that foster cultural understanding, artistic excellence, and community engagement. We offer school residencies, children’s books and recordings, community choirs and drum circles, and professional development for educators. As an approved vendor for both Edmonton Public Schools (EPSB) and Calgary Board of Education (CBE), we proudly serve schools across Alberta, enriching students’ education through the vibrant traditions of African music.
