Jollof Fest 2023: A Celebration of Culture and Community Empowerment!

Black Business Edmonton, in collaboration with Deuce Entertainment Inc, hosted a successful Jollof Fest 2023, a celebration promoting work-life balance for Black professionals in Canada, which took place on September 2nd, 2023.

The event showcased vibrant African and Caribbean performances, authentic culinary experiences, and a diverse marketplace. Attendees enjoyed family-oriented games, a dedicated Kids’ Corner, and witnessed an entrepreneur’s pitch for a chance to win a $5000 grant.

Jollof Fest 2023 went beyond taste, embodying culture, cuisine, collaboration, and community empowerment.

 

LAUNCH OF GHANA FEST 2024

Black Business Edmonton played a pivotal role in the triumphant launch of Ghanafest Alberta 2024, a gathering that drew over 200 attendees, including distinguished guests from Ghana, Edmonton dignitaries, and the Executive Director of the Africa Center.

The event celebrated Ghanaian culture with vibrant displays of music, dance, and fashion. Notably, Black Business Edmonton contributed to the success by supporting black-owned businesses in Edmonton through a dedicated vendor booth.

The night unfolded as a sensory journey, beautifully capturing the essence of Ghana’s rich heritage. A heartfelt thank you was extended to the performers, vendors, and attendees, promising the prospect of more exhilarating cultural celebrations in the future.
