Welcome to Black Business Edmonton BBE, a platform dedicated to promoting and supporting Black-owned businesses in the Edmonton area. To maintain the quality and integrity of our website, we have established a Posting Policy that outlines our guidelines and procedures for submitting and reviewing business listings. Please read this policy carefully before submitting your business listing to BBE.

  1. Listing Submission Guidelines
  • Eligibility: BBE is exclusively for Black-owned businesses operating in the Edmonton area or providing services to the Edmonton community. Listings that do not meet this criterion will not be accepted.

  • Complete Information: Submit all required information, including business description, contact details, website URL, and relevant images or logos.

  1. Review Process
  • Manual Review: All submitted listings will undergo a manual review process by the BBE team to ensure they meet our guidelines.
  • Approval Timeframe: Please allow up to 2 business days for your listing to be reviewed. We strive to process submissions as quickly as possible, but thorough evaluation is essential to maintain the directory’s quality.

  1. Approval and Publication
  • Notification: Upon approval, you will be notified via email that your listing has been published on the BBE website.
  • Edit and Update: You can edit and update your listing by writing to us at info@blackbusinessedmonton.ca. Please ensure that any changes required must comply with our Posting Policy.

  • Reason for Rejection: If your listing does not meet our guidelines or contains inaccurate information, it may be rejected. You will receive an email explaining the reason for rejection.
  • Appeal: If your listing is rejected, you can make necessary revisions and resubmit it for review. We encourage you to address any issues outlined in the rejection email.

  1. Removal of Listings
  • Outdated Information: Listings that contain outdated or inaccurate information may be removed without notice.
